sneakers & T-shirts playing
two violins and a cello—Brahms.

(poetry diary 174 – Feb 10, 2017) I like the effect of the “volta,” or “turn” (or punch!) of the last two lines. Found it in 365 Poems for Every Occasion while leafing through the book on the snow day yesterday.  Taking advantage of it being Black History Month to post it in this “Poetry Diary.”
