A new best-selling poet

There are two articles out today on Rupi Kaur, the woman who first achieved fame when Instagram banned a photo that she had she posted showing a small bit of menstrual blood.

She now has a best-selling book of poetry out, called Milk and Honey.

Publisher’s Weekly has an article on the book, called How To Sell Nearly a Half-Million Copies of a Poetry Bookts Sweet Spot with ‘Milk and Honey’ – Anisse Gross | Aug 26, 2016

(I’m assuming that’s a typo in the title….)

The Guardian also has:

Rupi Kaur: ‘There was no market for poetry about trauma, abuse and healing’ The young Punjabi-Sikh poet made a career by forcing herself into places where she’s least expected – like Instagram and the New York Times bestseller list. – – August 26, 2016
