Get Up, Please/a poem-a-day

A co-worker recently told me that although he’s signed up for a few poem-a-day emails, none of them actually followed through.

One site that really and truly will send one a poem-a-day is Poets.org.  Here’s one they sent out to subscribers earlier this week. Go to the link below the poem to get the whole thing, along w/the correct line-breaks.

Get Up, Please

The two musicians pour forth their souls abroad
in such an ecstasy as to charm the audience
like none I’ve ever seen before, and when
they finish, they rise and hug each other,
and then the tabla player bends down
and touches the feet of the santoor player in an obvious gesture
